ANKARA (AA) - Brazil men's team won the 4x100 meters event at the 2019 IAAF World Relays in Japan on Sunday.
Brazilian athletes tallied 38.05 seconds to bag the gold medal, while U.S. narrowly missed to win this race, completing the competition in 38.07 seconds. So the U.S. came second to earn the silver medal in the Japanese city of Yokohama.
Great Britain took the third place on Sunday, finishing the race in 38.15 seconds.
The Turkish team -- composed of Emre Zafer Barnes, Jak Ali Harvey, Izzet Safer and Ramil Guliyev -- ended this race in the seventh place with 39.13 seconds.
Sunday's finalist Turkey will participate in the IAAF World Athletics Championships in Doha in Sept. 2019.
Meanwhile, Jamaica is still the record holder in 4x100 meters relay. The Jamaican relay team set a world record in this category with 36.84 seconds during the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
