ISTANBUL (AA) - Audio and video call capabilities will soon be available on X, Elon Musk announced Thursday.
"Video & audio calls coming to X. Works on iOS, Android, Mac & PC. No phone number needed," the CEO wrote on his account.
"X is the effective global address book. That set of factors is unique," he added.
Musk, however, did not provide information about when the new features will be available.
Andrea Conway, a designer at X, shared screenshots of the features in July, in which audio and video call options were displayed at the top right corner of users' screens.
After buying Twitter for $44 billion last October, Musk announced in May there would soon be voice and video chat available to anyone so users can talk to each without unveiling their telephone numbers.
