Co-hosts Australia on Monday qualified for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup quarterfinals over a 2-0 win against Denmark.
In the 29th minute Australian midfielder Caitlin Foord scored the opener in a Round of 16 match in Sydney.
The Matildas waited for at least an hour to double the gap as Hayley Raso added a second goal in the 70th minute.
Victors Australia will face either France or Morocco in the last eight.
Earlier Monday, England were through to the quarterfinals after beating Nigeria 4-2 on penalties.
The Lionesses will take on either Colombia or Jamaica in the next stage.
