ISTANBUL (AA) – Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev discussed bilateral relations with Zeljka Cvijanovic, chairwoman of the Bosnian presidency, in a meeting in the capital Baku on Wednesday.
The leaders “praised the level of political relations between Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina” and “stressed the importance of strengthening economic and trade ties even further,” read a statement by the Azerbaijani presidency.
They also called for “promoting direct contacts between the business communities” of the two countries.
Cvijanovic emphasized that there are “great opportunities for cooperation in economic, trade, investment, energy and other areas,” according to the statement.
She invited Aliyev to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Azerbaijani president “thankfully accepted the invitation,” it added.
