ISTANBUL (AA) - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Monday met with Turkmen Vice President and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov in Baku to discuss bilateral relations and exchange views on further cooperation.
“During the conversation, it was noted that friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan are successfully developing in various fields, including economy, transport, and humanitarian fields,” a statement by the Azerbaijani Presidency read.
The statement said the meeting underlined the significance of Aliyev’s visit to Turkmenistan in June, where he held talks with Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhammedov, in the development of bilateral relations.
“At the meeting, views were exchanged on the perspectives of cooperation,” the statement concluded.
