ISTANBUL (AA) - Spain's Villarreal have reached an agreement with Ivorian defender Eric Bailly on a free transfer until June 30, 2025.
"The Submarine’s new signing has passed his medical examinations and will train alongside his team-mates tomorrow (Sunday) at 11:30am CET at the José Manuel Llaneza Training Ground," the Spanish club said in a statement on Saturday.
Bailly produced one goal and one assist in 47 matches for Villarreal during the 2015-16 season.
He was also an important part of the Spanish team that advanced to the semifinals of the UEFA Europa League in the 2014/15 season.
The 29-year-old helped Manchester United win the 2017 Europa League title.
He left Turkish club Besiktas after just three months after having his contract terminated this month due to poor performance.
