The latest death was reported from Chattogram, a major port city on Bangladesh's southeastern coast.

With the new cases, the total number of infections this year rose to 16,285, with at least 97 deaths since January. A total of 66 deaths have been confirmed in Dhaka. More than 1,640 patients are currently receiving treatment in hospitals nationwide.

In 2023, Bangladesh recorded 1,705 dengue deaths and a total of 321,179 cases, according to DGHS data.
