ANKARA (AA) - The UEFA Champions League group stage draw was held on Thursday in Istanbul, with Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Inter Milan to compete in Group C.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Italian coach Arrigo Sacchi was presented the annual UEFA President's Award by UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin.
Former Turkish-national right back Hamit Altintop brought the UEFA Champions League trophy to the stage as 2023 UEFA Champions League Final Ambassador.
Altintop then joined former Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure to draw the lots.
Matchday 1 will be played on Sept. 6-7, while Matchday 6 will be on Nov. 1-2.
The Round of 16 draw will be held on Nov. 7.
The group stage draws are as below:
Group A: Ajax - Liverpool - Napoli - Rangers
Group B: Porto - Atletico Madrid - Bayern Leverkusen - Club Brugge
Group C: Bayern Munich - Barcelona - Inter Milan - Plzen
Group D: Eintracht Frankfurt - Tottenham - Sporting Lisbon - Olympique Marseille
Group E: AC Milan - Chelsea - Salzburg - Dinamo Zagreb
Group F: Real Madrid - Leipzig - Shaktar Donetsk - Celtic
Group G: Manchester City - Sevilla - Borussia Dortmund - Copenhagen
Group H: Paris Saint-Germain - Juventus - Benfica - Maccabi Haifa
