ISTANBUL (AA) – In Wednesday basketball action, Barcelona grabbed an 86-71 win over AS Monaco in Round 3 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
Kevin Punter, Barcelona’s guard, was the highest scorer of the home game with 21 points at Palau Blaugrana.
"A good and comfortable win, credit to Monaco, but we had to do our business," Punter said after the victory.
Jabari Parker took 16 points, while Nicolas Laprovittola netted 13 points and Jan Vesely added 10 points and six points.
For the French side, Elie Okobo scored 13 points, Alpha Diallo racked up 12 points, and Mike James finished with 11 points.
With tonight’s win, Barcelona are second with two wins and one loss, while AS Monaco are fifth with two wins and one defeat.
Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade are at the top of the standings without a loss from three EuroLeague games.
