ANKARA (AA) - FC Barcelona beat UNICS Kazan 111-109 Thursday in a Round 17 EuroLeague game.
Barca grabbed their ninth straight victory in the EuroLeague with only a two-point lead at the Palau Blaugrana in Barcelona.
Nikola Mirotic rallied the Catalan team with 28 points, three rebounds and one assist while Kyle Kuric contributed with 24 points, five rebounds and one assist.
Lorenzo Brown's inspiring performance of 27 points, seven rebounds and nine assists was not enough for UNICS to come out on top.
Barcelona still sits atop the EuroLeague table with 15 wins and two losses while UNICS is in seventh spot with 10 wins and seven loses.
- Olympiacos beat Panathinaikos in Greek derby
Olympiacos Piraeus defeated Panathinaikos OPAP 84-65 on Thursday in the Greek derby in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
Tyler Dorsey, Kostas Sloukas and Shaquielle Mckissic all contributed with more than 16 points for Olympiacos and pushed their team to victory at the O.A.C.A. Olympic Indoor Hall in Athens.
Nemanja Nedovic's 17 points, four rebounds and seven assists were not enough for Panathinaikos to grab victory.
Olympiacos sits in third spot in the EuroLeague standings with 12 wins and five losses while Panathinaikos are placed 17th with four wins and 13 defeats.
