PARIS (AA) - The Bataclan concert hall in Paris is to reopen a day before the first anniversary of the Nov. 13 terror attacks in the city with a concert by Sting, local media reported Friday.
The day after the British rock star’s performance, the Eagles of Death Metal, who were performing on the night of the attack, will attend a memorial service, broadcaster BFMTV said.
Ninety people were killed in the Bataclan when terrorists linked to Daesh opened fire on the concert crowd and detonated explosives. Further attacks on restaurants and the Stade de France left a total of 130 dead and scores wounded.
The renovated venue in the city's 11th district last week revealed its new facade -- eight red letters forming the word Bataclan.
Commemoration ceremonies are set to take place on Nov. 13 on each, the Paris mayor’s office said.
