ANKARA (AA) - Bayern Munich beat Barcelona 2-0 in a UEFA Champions League Group C match Tuesday.
Former Bayern player Robert Lewandowski wasted several important chances for Barcelona in the early stages of the match at Allianz Arena.
Bayern defender Lucas Hernandez opened the scoring with a header in the 50th minute.
Just four minutes later, midfielder Leroy Sane scored another one for the German team, and the match ended 2-0.
Bayern Munich leads Group C with six points, followed by Barcelona and Inter Milan, both with three points, while Viktoria Plzen placed fourth without any points.
