ANKARA (AA) - FC Bayern Munich suffered a shock 2-4 Bundesliga defeat to VfL Bochum in week 22 on Saturday.
The Bavarians drew first blood with Polish star Robert Lewandowski in the ninth minute, but after that everything started to go downhill for them at Vonovia Ruhrstadion in Bochum.
Bochum's Ghanaian midfielder Christopher Antwi-Adjei equalized the score just five minutes later.
Jurgen Locadia brought the lead to Bochum with his penalty kick, and just two minutes later Cristian Gamboa made it 3-1.
Before the end of the first half, Gerrit Holtmann scored Bochum's fourth goal in the 44th minute.
Lewandowski was able to take one back for Bayern with his second goal in the 75th minute, but the game ended 4-2.
After their first defeat following three straight wins, Bayern Munich is still atop the Bundesliga standings with 52 points while Bochum is at number 11 with 28 points.
