Belgium’s football team coach Domenico Tedesco announced his plans to participate in the EURO 2024 without Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
"We are focusing on the boys who are fit," said the 38-year-old in an interview with German media.
In March, Courtois was diagnosed with a ruptured internal meniscus in his right knee.
Courtois also had a falling out with the national team coach during an EURO 2024 qualifying game against Austria in January 2023.
Tedesco gave the captain armband to another vice-captain Romelu Lukaku instead of the Belgian goalie, during the absence of captain Kevin De Bruyne, which caused a debate between the coach and Courtois as the goalkeeper was expected to be the first choice in the matter.
