ISTANBUL (AA) - Bernardo Silva signed a new Manchester City contract Wednesday, keeping him at the club through the summer of 2026.
"I've had six incredible years at Manchester City and I’m delighted to extend my time here. Winning the Treble last season was extremely special and it’s exciting to be part of a squad where there is such a hunger and passion," Silva said in a statement.
Director of football Txiki Begiristain heaped praise on Silva, saying: "His quality and technical ability is fantastic - and alongside his hard work and professionalism, he has become one of the best players in the world."
Silva, 29, previously played for Benfica and Monaco.
Portuguese midfielder helped Manchester City to win one UEFA Champions League trophy, five Premier League titles, and four English League cups.
He has 82 caps, having scored 11 goals for Portugal.
