ANKARA (AA) - Besiktas beat Ittifak Holding Konyaspor 1-0 in a nail-biting Turkish Super Lig match in Konya to extend their winning streak to four matches on Saturday.
The only goal of the match was scored by Turkish forward Burak Yilmaz in the 71th minute.
Besiktas increased their points to 21, after they won their last four matches in the league.
Ittifak Holding Konyaspor’s poor form continued with a four game winless streak.
- Trabzonspor easy past Ankaragucu with 3-0 win
Trabzonspor routed Ankaragucu 3-0 in an away game to win two consecutive matches in the league.
Norwegian forward Alexander Sorloth's goal gave Trabzonspor an early lead in the 6th minute.
Ankaragucu were down to 10 men in the stoppage time of the first half as Ricardo Faty from Senegal was sent off.
In the second half, Turkish winger Yusuf Sari doubled his team's lead in the 48th minute.
Anthony Nwakaeme from Nigeria made the score 3-0 eight minutes after Sari's goal.
Trabzonspor collected 22 points after five wins in last seven league matches.
Ankaragucu could not end their poor form, as they are currently in the relegation zone with only nine points.
