ANKARA (AA) - Istanbul's Besiktas will face city rivals Galatasaray on Monday in a week 10 match of the Turkish Super Lig.
Five of the Black Eagles have suffered injuries and will not be playing in the derby, namely Mehmet Topal, Atiba Hutchinson, Georges-Kevin N'Koudou, Ajdin Hasic, and Atakan Uner.
Meanwhile, Sacha Boey, Omar Elabdellaoui, and Arda Turan will be unable to play for the Lions due to injuries.
Galatasaray's Norwegian right back Elabdellaoui has not been playing the game for a long time due to a major eye injury that he sustained at a New Year's Eve party.
Since then, the 29-year-old Elabdellaoui has underwent several surgeries and started training with the team again in July, wearing special glasses to protect his right eye.
He is still ineligible.
With four goals, Belgian forward Michy Batshuayi was the top scorer for Besiktas, followed by Guven Yalcin who scored three. For Galatasaray, Mostafa Mohamed scored the most goals with three, while Alexandru Cicaldau has two.
Galatasaray are fresh off from an encouraging 1-0 UEFA Europa League win against Lokomotiv Moscow on Thursday, while Besiktas will have to shake off a disappointing UCL clash against Sporting which they lost 4-1 on Tuesday.
The Istanbul derby at Vodafone Park will kick off at 1700GMT.
Besiktas are placed fourth and Galatasaray sixth in the Super Lig table as both sides have racked up 17 points each, while Trabzonspor stand at the top spot with 21.
