WASHINGTON (AA) - President Joe Biden will travel to New York City to participate in the 78th session of the UN General Assembly on Sept. 19 - 20, the White House said Tuesday.
Biden is scheduled to address the Assembly on Sept. 19.
"President Biden will meet with world leaders to discuss cooperation in tackling threats to international peace and security, advancing global prosperity, and protecting human rights," said a White House statement.
There has been speculation of a meeting on the sidelines between Biden and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish president, but as yet no such meeting has been confirmed.
