ISTANBUL (AA) - Former Barcelona and Spain forward Bojan Krkic announced Thursday that he is retiring from football at the age of 32.
"After traveling around the world, I am returning home to tell you about one of the most thoughtful, difficult, and important decisions of my life: I am leaving professional football," Krkic said on Twitter.
"I feel I have to start a new stage. Without ever stopping smiling. Thank you!" he added.
Krkic previously appeared for several of Europe's top clubs such as Roma, Milan and Ajax, while he last played for Japanese club Vissel Kobe from 2021 to 2023.
He won one Club World Cup, two Champions Leagues, one European Super Cup and three Spanish La Liga titles with Barcelona.
