Dutch athlete Femke Bol and US athlete Elle St. Pierre both marked new records in the World Athletics Indoor Championships Glasgow 24 on Saturday.
Bol set a new world record with 49.17 seconds time in 400 Meters Women and bagged a gold medal, while her compatriot Lieke Klaver won silver medal and US athlete Alexis Holmes clinched a bronze medal in the competition.
St. Pierre, on the other hand, broke the former championship record, which was set in 1989, with 8 minutes 20.87 seconds time in 3000 Meters Women.
Ethiopian Gudaf Tsegay placed second with 8 minutes 21.13 seconds and Kenyan Beatrice Chepkoech won a bronze medal with 8 minutes 22.68 seconds in the competition.
The World Athletics Indoor Championships Glasgow 24, 19th edition of the global championship consisting of biennial indoor track and field competitions, will end on Sunday.
