Bombing of hospital in Gaza shows ‘dramatic situation’ of people there, says European Council head

More than 500 people were killed in an Israeli airstrike on Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza

ATHENS (AA) - The head of the European Council remarked on Tuesday evening said that the bombing of the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza shows the dramatic situation of the people living there.

In a press conference held following the video conference of the EU members on the latest development in the Israel-Palestine conflict, Charles Michel said: “I want to express my emotion on the recent information on the bombing of a hospital in Gaza which has been bombed. A lot of casualties. This is showing the dramatic situation of the people who are there.”

Earlier, more than 500 people were killed in an Israeli airstrike on Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza, Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra told Anadolu.

Footage showed corpses scattered across the hospital grounds.

According to an Anadolu reporter, thousands of Palestinians were at the hospital when the building came under bombardment.
