At Thursday’s close, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was up 1.13% at 1,401.52 points, with a daily trading volume of 11.7 billion Turkish liras ($1.43 billion). The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 8.2300 as of 9:30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Friday, up from 8.2220 at the previous close. The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also increased to 9.9700 from 9.9680, while one British pound traded for 11.4700 Turkish liras, down from 11.5050 at Thursday’s close. One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $67.66 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT). |
