ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's BIST 100 stock exchange fell 208.40 points, or 0.20 percent, to open at 103,350.58 points on Monday.
The banking and holding sector indices went down 0.27 and 0.03 percent, respectively.
Among all sector indices, the sports sector index was the best performer with 0.91 percent while food, beverage saw the biggest fall with 2.26 percent.
Turkey's benchmark stock index closed last week down 0.41 percent to reach 103,558.98 points on Friday.
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate went up to 3.9420 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Monday, compared with Friday's close at 3.9250.
The euro/Turkish lira rate increased to 4.6790 on Monday morning, up from 4.6600 at the close on Friday.
The Brent oil price decreased to $63.38 per barrel on Monday morning, down from $64.09 at the close of previous trading day.
Turkish Statistical Institute announced that the country's inflation rate went up 1.49 percent in November while the annual inflation rate stood at 12.98 percent.
