ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index opened at 1,291.65 points on Tuesday, decreasing 0.10% or 1.34 points from the previous close.
At the previous close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index hit another all-time high, increasing 0.13% at 1,292.99 points, with a daily trading volume of 29.5 billion Turkish liras ($4 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 7.7320 as of 9:35 a.m. local time (0635GMT), versus 7.7290 at the previous close.
The Euro/Turkish lira exchange rate went up to 9.1700 from 9.1400, while one British pound traded for 10.2400 Turkish liras, up from 10.2390.
One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for $43.98 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT).
