ANKARA (AA) - The BIST 100 index opened flat on Tuesday, Nov. 8, falling slightly by 0.05 percent during its first transactions.
The index fell 35.66 points to open at 75,646.30, declining 0.05 percent from Monday's closing of 75,681.96.
On the second trading day of the week, and presidential Election Day in the U.S., the banking sector and holding sector indices fell by 0.02 percent.
In the opening session, the mining sector rose the most, up 0.88 percent, while the construction sector index declined the most, down 0.39 percent.
The Turkish lira traded between 3.1720 and 3.1740 early Tuesday, and also stood flat against the U.S. dollar compared to Monday's closing rate.
