ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index opened at 1,358.27 points on Tuesday, up 0.10% or 1.31 points from the previous close.
At Monday’s close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was up 1.55% at 1,356.96 points, with a daily trading volume of 11.76 billion Turkish liras ($1.36 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate dropped to 8.6200 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Tuesday, versus 8.6340 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 10.2400 from 10.2430, while one British pound traded for 11.9700 Turkish liras, down slightly from 12.0080.
One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for $75.40 as of 10.10 a.m. local time (0710GMT).
