ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index BIST 100 increased 74.96 points or 0.07 percent to open at 113,069.82 points on Friday.
The banking sector index dropped 0.17 percent while the holding sector index rose 0.07 percent.
Among all sector indices, the informatics sector index was the best performer gaining 3.57 percent, whereas the banking sector index saw the biggest decline.
The BIST 100 was previously flat with a 0.03 percent decline to close at 112,994.86 points on Thursday.
During the trading hours of Borsa Istanbul equity market, the index climbed to its all-time peak at 114,539.84 points, recording a 8.6 billion Turkish lira (around $2.25 billion) trade volume.
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate slightly went down to 3.81 at 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) Friday, compared with 3.8150 at Thursday's close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also saw a decline, dropping to 4.4460 from 4.4470 at the close on Thursday.
Brent crude oil price rose to $60.75 per barrel on Friday at 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) compared with $60.48 at 6.00 p.m. local time (1500GMT) the previous day.
