ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 2,650.05 points on Tuesday, rising slightly by 0.07%, or 1.94 points, from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was up 1.8% to close at 2,648.12 points on Monday, with a daily trade volume of 48.6 billion Turkish liras ($2.93 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 16.7290 as of 10.30 a.m. local time (0730GMT), from 16.5620 at Monday's close.
The euro/lira exchange rate increased to 17.8718 from 17.7350, while a British pound traded for 20.8848 Turkish liras, up from 20.8300 at the previous close.
Brent crude oil was sold for around $119.96 per barrel as of 10.30 a.m. local time, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,848.35.
