ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index, BIST 100, rose 0.31 percent or 360.22 points to open at 116,927.30 points on Friday.
The banking and holding sector indices rose 0.34 percent and 0.36 percent, respectively.
All sector indices gained value while the real estate investment trusts sector index was the best performer, increasing 0.57 percent.
On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed at 116,567.08, down 0.24 percent with a 4.6-billion-Turkish lira ($1.2 billion) trade volume.
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate went up to 3.8220 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Friday, compared with Thursday's closing rate of 3.7960.
The euro/lira rate declined to 4.7100, compared with 4.7170 at the previous day's close.
The price of Brent oil was $63.83 per barrel as of 9.45 a.m. local time (0645GMT) Friday, versus $63.61 at close on Thursday.
