ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index opened at 1,385.74 points on Monday, rising 0.26% or 3.58 points from the previous close.
At Friday's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was down 0.88% at 1,382.15 points, with a daily trading volume of 22.5 billion liras ($2.8 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate slightly increased to 8.0400 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), from 8.0120 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also rose to 9.4700, versus 9.4560, while one British pound traded for 11.0700 Turkish liras, down from 11.0790 at Friday's close.
One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $63.50 as of 10.05 a.m. local time (0705GMT).
