ANKARA (AA) - The BIST 100 index gained 222.95 points to open at 75,397.12 on Monday.
Turkey’s benchmark index rose 0.30 percent with the banking and holding sector indices rising 0.41 and 0.44 percent respectively.
The insurance sector showed the greatest rise -- 0.78 percent -- while the tourism sector was down 0.36 percent.
The U.S. dollar stood at 3.2560 Turkish liras early Monday, compared to 3.2540 at Friday’s close.
