ANKARA (AA) – Turkey’s benchmark stock index opened at 1,384.57 points on Wednesday, up 0.14% or 2 points from the previous close.
At Tuesday’s close, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was down 0.72% to 1,382.58 points, with a daily trading volume of 12.44 billion Turkish liras ($1.43 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange stood at 8.6700 as of 9:30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Wednesday, up from 8.6680 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate down to 10.2600 from 10.2640, while one British pound traded for 11.9800 Turkish liras, versus 12.0070 at the previous close.
One barrel of Brent crude oil was sold for $75.11 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT).
