ANKARA (AA) -Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index declined 0.25 percent to open at 79,343.26 points on Thursday, Oct. 27.
The country's benchmark index lost 54.68 points, or 0.25 percent, while the banking sector indexes decreased by 0,25 percent and holding sector indexes rose by 0.06 percent.
Among the sector indexes, the tourism sector performed best with a 0.61 percent rise. The real estate investment sector index however fell by 0.33 percent .
Analysts said investors Thursday would follow the Turkish central bank's inflation report and the head's statements domestically. Elsewhere, investors are expected to take cues from the third-quarter U.K. GDP figures and U.S. durable goods orders report.
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate, which was at 3.0840 by the time markets closed on Wednesday, stood at 3.0960 early Thursday.
