ANKARA (AA) - Borsa Istanbul's BIST-100 index went down 5.02 percent at opening of the daily session Friday, following the U.K.’s unprecedented vote to leave the European Union.
The benchmark index decreased sharply by 3,916 points to open at 74,073 after it increased slightly, 0.9 percent, Thursday, when the total trading volume was lower at 3.5 billion Turkish liras (almost $1.2 billion).
European markets are also expected to open negatively following the referendum result in the U.K.
