ISTANBUL (AA) – Türkiye’s benchmark stock index opened at 5,054.48 points on Friday, up 0.16%, or 8.29 points, from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was up 1.38% to close Thursday at an all-time peak of 5,046.19 points, with a daily trading volume of 117 billion Turkish liras ($6.27 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 18.6374 as of 10.27 a.m. local time (0727GMT), the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 19.6230, and a British pound traded for 22.8003 Turkish liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $86.93 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,814.40.
