ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index, BIST 100, rose 0.10 percent or 116.31 points to open at 118,527.75 points on Tuesday.
Among all sectors, the BIST textile leather index started day with the highest rise -- 0.60 percent -- while the construction sector index decreased the most, down 0.30 percent.
The BIST banking index fell by 0.11 percent at open and the BIST holding index was flat with a 0.02 percent decline.
On Monday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed at 118,411.44, rising by 1.28 percent with a 6.5 billion-Turkish lira ($1.75 billion) trade volume.
The US dollar/Turkish lira rate stood at 3.8370 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Tuesday, compared to 3.8340 at Monday's close.
The euro/lira exchange rate also rose to 4.7340, compared with Monday's close of 4.7210.
The price of Brent oil was $64.84 per barrel as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT) Tuesday.
