ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index BIST 100 started the day up 326.88 points or 0.30 percent, reaching 108,760.43 points on Friday.
The banking and holding sector indices rose 0.22 percent and 0.36 percent, respectively.
Among all sectors, the tourism sector index was the best performer, rising 0.94 percent, while the investment trusts sector index fell the most, seeing a 0.39 percent decline.
The BIST 100 rose 1.41 percent to close at 108,433.55 points on Thursday with a trading volume of 4.7 billion Turkish liras ($1.3 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate slightly rose to 3.6620 at 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) Friday, compared with 3.6600 at Thursday’s close.
