ANKARA (AA) – Borussia Dortmund extended Germany midfielder Emre Can's contract for another two years on Saturday.
In a statement, Borussia Dortmund said that Can, 29, penned a new deal to keep himself at Signal Iduna Park until June 30, 2026.
Can, who is of Turkish origin, joined Borussia Dortmund in 2020 to win the German Cup.
He won local titles with Germany's Bayern Munich and Italy's Juventus before his move to Borussia Dortmund.
Can helped Bayern Munich win the 2013 UEFA Champions League.
The experienced defensive midfielder scored 12 goals in 121 matches for Borussia Dortmund.
In addition to Bayern Munich and Juventus, he previously played for Bayer Leverkusen in Germany and England's Liverpool.
