ANKARA (AA) - Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday completed the signing of German forward Karim Adeyemi to replace Norwegian star Erling Haaland, who will leave the club for England's Manchester City in July.
"Borussia Dortmund is thrilled to announce the signing of German International, Karim Adeyemi, on a contract until June 2027!," the German Bundesliga club said on Twitter.
Earlier, Manchester City said that the English Premier League club reached "an agreement in principle" with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of Haaland.
Haaland, 21, has been a Dortmund regular since 2020. He scored 85 goals in 88 appearances for Dortmund.
Adeyemi, 20, who is currently playing for Austria's Red Bull Salzburg, became the third signing of Dortmund for the next season.
Borussia Dortmund previously finalized deals with Bayern Munich's German central defender Niklas Sule, and his compatriot Nico Schlotterbeck, who is now playing for Freiburg.
Adeyemi scored 33 goals in 92 matches for RB Salzburg, and won three Austrian Bundesliga titles with his club in 2020-2022.
