ISTANBUL (AA) - Brazil's producer price index (PPI) increased 0.45% in May, rising for the fourth consecutive month, according to official data released on Thursday.
The monthly PPI figure for April was revised down to a gain of 0.67% from an increase of 0.74%.
A total of 15 sectors out of 24 saw gains in prices during the month of May, the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics said in a report.
The largest monthly gain was seen in electrical machines with 1.91%, while extractive industries saw a decline of 4.98%.
On an annual basis, producer prices were down 2.88% in May, compared to the same month of last year.
