ISTANBUL (AA) - Brazil's unemployment rate fell to 7.5% during the September-November period, according to data released Friday by the Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).
The figure is a 0.3 percentage point decrease from the preceding three-month period of June-August when it stood at 7.8%.
It has been the lowest unemployment rate since the quarter ending in February 2015, when it stood at 7.5%, according to IBGE.
The latest figure is also a decline of 0.6 percentage points compared to the same period last year, when it was recorded at 8.1%.
In the September-November period this year, the number of unemployed population stood at 8.2 million.
