SOFIA (AA) - Owner of a Bulgarian cyber security company was arrested on Tuesday over stealing information of five million people.
According to the Bulgarian National Revenue Agency (NAP), cyber criminals seized the data of 5 million people on June 29.
Ivan Todorov, owner of TAD Group company, was arrested in Sofia airport, while he was returning from abroad.
Todorov and a group of other suspects are being accused of acquiring data of five million people, including identity numbers and information on their health insurance and tax payments, and publishing them and causing panic in the society.
It was previously revealed that the cyber attack also targeted the country's prime minister and other top officials.
