Burnley's Dutch forward Wout Weghorst on Wednesday joined German Bundesliga club Hoffenheim on loan.
"The Dutch international, Wout Weghorst, has joined on a season-long loan deal from Premier League side Burnley!" Hoffenheim said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Weghorst, 31, previously played for Dutch clubs Emmen, Heracles, AZ Alkmaar, and Germany's Wolfsburg.
In 2022, Türkiye's Besiktas signed Weghorst on loan from Burnley, but after the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, he temporarily moved to Manchester United.
Last season Weghorst scored nine goals in 18 matches for Besiktas and tallied two goals in 31 matches for Manchester United.
Weghorst played for the Dutch national team in Qatar 2022 to score two goals.
In addition to Weghorst, Hoffenheim signed several players including Hungarian defender Attila Szalai from Fenerbahce and Austrian midfielder Florian Grillitsch from Ajax.
