ISTANBUL (AA) - Andrew Andrews of Turkish basketball side Frutti Extra Bursaspor player Andrew Andrews earned the EuroCup Eighthfinals MVP honor, EuroLeague Basketball confirmed on Thursday.
"In a do-or-die showdown that went to overtime, Andrews led Bursaspor to a 95-103 win on the court of second-seeded Partizan NIS Belgrade that sent the Turkish team to the EuroCup Quarterfinals for the first time," EuroLeague said in a statement.
"Andrews is the second Bursaspor player to earn MVP of the Round honors this season after Kevarrius Hayes did so in Round 17 of the regular season," it added.
On Wednesday's game against Partizan NIS, Andrews posted a double-double with 24 points, 8 rebounds, and 10 assists for a performance index rating of 35, the best among all players in the eighth-finals.
The Turkish club made club history by having a quarterfinal place where it will play Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana from Slovenia.
