ANKARA (AA) - Cameroonian forward Vincent Aboubakar has joined Besiktas for the third time, the Black Eagles announced on Saturday.
Aboubakar contracted to the Black Eagles until the end of the 2024-25 season, with an option for another year, Besiktas said in a statement.
The Cameroonian will be paid a €1.14 million ($1.24 million) signing-on fee with approximately €1.5 million ($1.63 million) for the 2022-2023 season. For the remaining seasons, in addition to the guarantee fee of €3.1 million ($3.37 million) per season, a maximum fee of €12,000 ($13,053) per match will be paid, depending on the duration and type of competition.
Vincent Aboubakar, 30, first joined Besiktas from Porto on loan in 2016. The Istanbul club signed him again in 2020.
He joined Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr in 2021 until his return for his third stint at Besiktas this year.
Aboubakar bagged Portuguese Primeira Liga titles with Porto in 2018 and 2020, and Turkish Super Lig titles with Besiktas in 2017 and 2021.
He also helped Cameroon clinch the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations. He has scored 35 goals in 95 appearances for the national team.
