ANKARA (AA) - Canada sealed an easy 12-1 win against Switzerland on Thursday in their women's hockey Olympic debut.
Melodie Daoust, who scored three goals in the first period, was forced to exit after she suffered an injury in the second period.
The 30-year-old Canadian forward participated in her third Olympics.
In another Group A match at the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, the US clinched a 5-2 victory over Finland.
Meanwhile, Czech Republic secured a 3-1 win over host China as Japan beat Sweden 3-1 in Group B.
