ISTANBUL (AA) - Canada defeated the US 8-5 to claim a bronze medal in men's curling at the Beijing Olympics on Friday.
Curling skip Brad Gushue, and Mark Nichols, Brett Gallant and Geoff Walker were on the rink for Team Canada at National Aquatics Centre.
Marc Kennedy was named the alternate player for Canada in the bronze medal game.
Canada currently has 24 medals, including four golds, seven silvers, and 13 bronzes at Beijing 2022.
Norway are at the top spot with 34 medals, including 15 golds, eight silvers, and 11 bronzes, followed by Germany with 10 golds, seven silvers, and five bronzes.
Meanwhile, Great Britain and Sweden will play for men's curling gold on Saturday.
The 2022 Winter Games will run through Feb. 20.
