ISTANBUL (AA) – Canada tasted a 2-1 comeback win against the Republic of Ireland in their Group B game at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup on Wednesday.
The Irish team's only goal came from Katie Mccabe in the fourth minute at the Perth Rectangular Stadium.
Megan Connolly (own goal) and Adriana Leon each scored for Canada respectively in the 45th minute and in the 53rd minute.
Canada stay atop Group B with four points and the Republic of Ireland are at the bottom of the standings without a point.
