ISTANBUL (AA) - Canada's investment in building construction rose 2.8% to $21.4 billion in June, according to the country's statistical agency.
The figure had gained 0.8% in May to reach $20.8 billion.
The residential sector rose 3.8% to $15 billion in June, while the non-residential sector climbed 0.4% to $6.4 billion, Statistics Canada said Monday in a statement.
Monthly increases were seen in nine of the country's 13 provinces during the month of June, led by Quebec with an increase of $265 million to $3.3 billion, leading the national gain for the second consecutive month.
