ISTANBUL (AA) - Unemployment in Canada fell by 0.2 percentage points in September to 5.2% on a monthly basis.
The rate was also down from 7% in September 2021, the country's statistical department said on Friday.
"Employment declined for a second consecutive month among young women aged 15 to 24, but increased among male youth and core-aged women (25 to 54 years) in September," it said.
It added that employment rose in four provinces, led by British Columbia, while there were fewer people working in the provinces of Ontario and Prince Edward Island.
